Best thing about the region around Fontainebleau is that it is suited for activities in all four seasons. From spring to autumn it is an ideal spot for hiking, biking and horseback riding through the wavy oak and pine forests full of twisted little paths around large boulders. There is a large golf course about 500m from the house and bouldering is an all year sport. Choice restaurants, ancient villages, castles, museums and galleries are in abundance everywhere around Boulancourt and offer a pleasant change from your sports for a rest day or a romantic weekend.
